I for one dont mind owning an OGO device. for $17 bucks a month with no contract, u cant go wrong. I use it for my unlimited use of syncing to my email and unlimted cell phone text. i dont mind not having web browser and able to view picture or html. Im happy with my device, and hoping for a new version , maybe an Ogo 2??? for more added features.

Ogi is far from dead, and not everyone needs voice as stated above. Ogo has a very viable U.S. Market and following - it was hurt most by the merger between ATT/Cingular and also by limited scope in marketing.

It is much more popular in business and hearing impaired markets than in the orginally targeted teen markets.

Scared is quite right, even now, despite appearances to the contrary - IXI has assured me directly in response to an inquiry that existing ogos will continue to be supported by cingular and that IXI is moving forward with future plans for ogo. http://newworldsrd.blogspot.com

This is simply untrue, and never has been true. This is a horrible rumor that many sites pushed without any official confirmation. Ogo still survives, can still be purchased for new, and new activations are happening all the time. In fact IXI, the Ogo developers, are taking a forfront role in push the Ogo forth into its future. For more information join us at the Cingular Ogo Forum: http://forums.cingular.com/cng/board?board.id=ogo , check out http://www.ixi.com , and http://www.ogo.com .

Cingular has other products for data transfer.
You can use <a href="http://www.connectione.com/" rel="nofollow">BlackBerry Software</a> for same thing.
