It is not only the battery life that is a negative for this player but the fact that it cannot take any abuse at all makes it not worthy of that $200 that you spent on it. I own one and i made the misfortune of dropping it once. And that one time was enough. Even though the case is mostly metal (which is rare and I like metal cases)but it is toast after one drop, a error message kept appearing and then it would shut off. ANother fact is that the company that makes it Samsung doesnt take responsibility for it. I have broken 2 so far and I have brought it back to the store that I bought it from. They said no returns, but samsung customer service says they should. So i was trapped in a loop. Any ways, another bad point is that the mp3 player doesnt come with the nescessary software to upload music to it. The program "Music Studio" is not on the instillation CD (either of then from the 2 that I had), so it is impossible to put music on it without going to their website or spending countless hours on the "Multimedia Studio" trying to figure that out, even though the instructions tell you how to put music on it with the "Music Studio".
Overall I give this MP3 player at least a 1 out of five maby less.
The only good thing that is good about it is that it is a good waste of time. Of the 9 months that I have has it it has been in shipping to god knows where for 3 of those 9 months.

I own one of these, Samsung yh-820, but I am a little lost. It's not that user friendly when it comes to searching for the music to play and making a play list instead of searching song by song every 3 minutes (or when the song you're listening to has finished). Am I missing something? Also, erasing isn't easy either. Do you have to plug it in to your comp to erase songs??
