Sony NW-E507 Mp3 Flash Memory Player
Sony hasn’t been successful yet in beating the ipod, but perhaps it can diminish the popularity of the ishuffle with it’s upcoming NW-E507. The NW-E507 is a 1 gig Flash mp3 & wma player with an FM tuner, a 3 line display, and a 50 Hour battery life. And it happens to look really good too. T3 mag claims it’s due out in April. J&R has it available for preorder for $199. Ok so it’s not not as cheap as the ishuffle, but I think there’s alot more value here compared to the suffle considering its awesome battery life and that it has a display! And if it proves true to its listed specifications then it will have even better battery life and better looks then the samsung YP-MT6Z which claims a battery life of upto 42 hours.

it looks good but sony screwed up again. can you say proprietary USB cable interface? why can’t they (for once) just make something ‘just work’(tm).
oh yeah, and for that price, $199, i’d rather buy a 4gb iPod mini.
Specs: Network Walkman Digital Music Player NW-E507
Small as a pack of gum. Plays MP3s and FM radio. Insanely long battery life. 1GB1 Built-In Memory / Stores…
The USB cable is not proprietary in that it is a typical USB A-Mini B cable which you can get at most stores. And you probably have a cable just like it laying around as many players use this kind of USB connection.
I dont understand why Sony doesn’t provide an armband… The only fault I can see. What do other people use?
