Plantronics MX100s Mobile headset
May 29, 2005
In the past I’ve posted about Bluetooth wireless headsets that you can use as a stereo headset for your music player as well as a headset for your cell phone. Unfortunately, they tend to be pricey. If you don’t mind having the same features in a wired headset then the Plantronics MX100s headset is a great option for $44.95. Unfortunately it’s not compatible with every cell phone out there so you gotta check that your cell phone is compatible before you buy it.

Prices begin at $1399.99. Personally, I’m not too crazy about its design but maybe it looks better in person. (Source: i4u)
Nachus EMP-Z Coin Sized Mp3 Player Review
May 25, 2005
The Nachus EMP-Z coin-sized mp3 player puts all other mp3 players to shame in terms of size, weight, and being wearable. I4u has a review up with pictures of the player. I think that this mp3 player has a lot of chick appeal to it, being that it can really be worn as an accessory and it has a simple and refined design.

Shinco Portable Media Player
May 23, 2005
At first glance the Shinco Portable Media Player might look like any ordinary portable DVD player but it’s not actually a DVD player at all. It’s really just a a portable video player in disquise that has a 40 gig hard drive and a 7 inch TFT screen. It can playback ASF, AVI, Divx, MPEG 1/2/4, JPEG, MP3 and WMA files. Plus, it has a CompactFlash and Secure Digital/mmc Slot, 2 headphone jacks, and a remote control. Unfortunately the battery life isn’t too amazing at just 2.5 hours for video playback and 4 hours for audio playback. The Shinco PMP is available for preorder at Firebox.com for $510 USD.

May 22, 2005
PCMagazine has a review, with lots of pictures, of the Lowrance iWay 500c which is a GPS device for your car that has a 5 inch color display and an mp3 player. the 500c has a 20gb hard drive with 10 gigs available for storing mp3s. PC Magazine gave the 500c it’s editor’s choice award. Another reason this GPS device is worth mentioning, other then it’s unique mp3 capabilities, is that fact that it’s also relatively inexpensive - you can find it online for about $700. Now all I need is a car.
Hello Kitty Pop-Up Toaster
May 22, 2005
There are several different types of Hello Kitty branded electronics, including everything from televisions to curling irons. What
recently caught my attention is the Hello Kitty Pop-Up Toaster that toasts Hello
Kitty’s face on every slice of bread you pop into it. Breakfast will never be
the same. It’s available for $36.99 at the Sanrio store.

CellPoint’s Flamingo BT Headset
May 20, 2005
A common problem with alot of bluetooth headsets are that they are often to heavy and uncomfortable to wear on you ear. Also, many of them have a design that is geeky enough to make you look like you are trying to channel out of space. What’s great about CellPoint’s Flamingo BT Headset is that it has a simple and elegant design, and it doesn’t have an over-the-ear piece to hold on to your head so it makes it more comfortable to wear. And it weighs just 10 grams! It’s currently available for $129.95 at Smatfone.com

The Versace Ediition comes with a carrying strap covered in Swarovski-crystals, and a cover with yellow and black art deco ornaments. There are only 727 of these beauties available for a price of 799 Euro which is about $1,013 USD. All proceeds go to LifeBall.org, a charity benefit for AIDS. However, don’t count on being able to get one of these outside of Europe.
Smoy PhotoCuffs
May 18, 2005
People love to put photos everywhere, on their wall, on a book cover, in their wallets… Well here’s another place to put your favorite photo of that special someone or place - on your wrist! Smoy PhotoCuff’s come in different colors and designs. My favorite is the Brooklyn PhotoCuff that is available on their site for $25. It has room for a few pictures and has a cool punk-rocker-look going for it.
Game Boy Advance Micro
May 18, 2005
This year’s E3 has been especially exciting with three new game consoles being revealed - the Xbox 360, Nintendo Revolution & Playstation 3. Well besides the big consoles, a portable gaming player has been announced. The Game Boy Advance Micro will be a reincarnation of the Gameboy Advance SP but will be tinier and lighter. It’ll be about the size of a Ipod Mini and weigh an astonishing 2.8 ounces. The press release from Nintendo also claims that the Game boy Micro will have a removable face plate so that you can change the color and design on your game boy. I’m sure this one will be a hit. Harajuku Lovers Digital Camera
May 16, 2005
HP has produced a limited edition camera with Gwen Stefani called the Harajuku Lovers Digital Camera. It’s essentially the HP Photosmart R607 digital camera with a turquoise paint job and Japanese letters. The camera is available for $249 at HP’s site. And the best part about this camera is that it’s not pink!
Faceplates on the Xbox 360
May 15, 2005
This past Thursday the next generation Xbox, the Xbox 360, was unveiled on MTV.
It’s got a lot of cool new features which you can check out at 1up.com.
The Xbox developers claim that they designed the Xbox 360 as a console made for
"everyone." That translates to me that they want to make the Xbox 360 more
female friendly then the original Xbox. So how exactly are they going to do
that? That’s where their plans for customizable faceplates come in. It seems
that they’re going to have all sorts of faceplates for the front facade of the
xbox. Who needs a special edition Hello Kitty Xbox for hundreds of dollars when you can just buy a hello kitty faceplate for your current Xbox. Great idea if you ask me, especially if they make good quality faceplates
that don’t look cheap or too tacky.
Iriver T10 Flash Mp3 Players with Color Screen
May 13, 2005
Iriver has a new line of T10
flash mp3 players. The T10 line has a 1.1 inch 64k color LCD display, a
53 hours battery, supports WMA, OGG and MP3, has a clock function, and
FM-Tuner.
It’s also pretty light at just 1.7 ounces. It comes in 3 different
versions, a 256MB in lime green, 512MB in a girly Cherry Red and a 1GB
in orange yellow which i’m personally not crazy about because it
reminds me of a New York City Taxi. Currently these players are only
being released in Iriver’s home country Korea which is a shame because
Iriver tends to me great sounding mp3 players and it’d be nice to have
one with a color screen. (Source: I4u)
NHJ 5GB Bluetooth Wireless MP3 Player
May 12, 2005
Forget getting one of those bluetooth stereo headsets to use with your mp3 player, how about just getting a wireless bluetooth mp3 player with bluetooth built in. The NHJ 5GB Bluetooth Wireless MP3 Player has 5 gigs inside, a 14 hour battery life, and comes with a wireless headset. Will this little wonder ever make it over here from Japan? Probably not but we can always drool while looking at their web site.
