		<description>It&#039;s just jabber. That means you don&#039;t actually have to have a gmail account - you just have to have access to a jabber server. You don&#039;t even have to use their client. What Google did is in no way new or inventive. The hope is that they will improve upon a solid IM protocol and add features without making it horrid like AIM. And while colors are nice, if another person that is *obviously* color blind messages me with their custom colors, I&#039;m switching back to a monochrome CRT.</description>
