2dd Samsung X1 the Ultraportable Laptop Like No OtherA sub 4 pound laptop with a 14 inch wide screen, built in optical drive and a dedicated 128mb video card – this dream ultraportable is unheard of – until now. The Samsung X1 is one of Samsung’s latest laptop offerings, and it certainly is one of a kind.  It weighs just 3.75 pounds, is 19.2-23mm thick/thin, with a 14" WSXGA screen, a 128Mb ATI X300 graphics card, runs on a 1.1Ghz Pentium M733,  has 512Mb of DDR2 RAM and a 60Gb and 5400rpm hard drive. The only dissapointing aspects of the X1 is that the keyboard seems a bit dislocated by having been placed at the front of the laptop, and the processor is a kind of slow at just 1.1ghz, but hey that wouldn’t stop me from buying it if it was available here – which it probably will never be, because Samsung’s laptops rarely make it over to the U.S. Samsung, why do you taunt us like this?
