Overheard
Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents. Off hand, it seems like Second Life has all of the elements that the Sims should offer but doesn’t. In Second Life you get to design your own avatar, buy land and build your house, meet new people, try out different forms of entertainment, and buy and sell in the marketplace. The graphics aren’t half bad, and the possibilities for game play are endless. Currently there are 100,000 inhabitants roaming this virtual world, and a vast majority of them are women. There are different levels of membership required to participate in Second Life. There is a free basic version, an additional basic account type costs $9.95 a month, and a premium account that also costs $9.95 a month. Premium membership gives you the luxury of owning land, or as we like to think of it – virtual dirt.

F430
We’ve seen countless shuffle rip-offs but this one takes the cake. The "USB Flash Memory Style F430" is practically an exact replica of the Ipod shuffle. It comes in white, pink, blue, black and yellow, in capacities of 128mb, 256mb, 512mb and 1gb, it plays Mp3, WMA and WAV files, and it has a 15 hour battery life. It also comes with headphones, a neck-strap, and an unbelievable lifetime warranty. It’s available from Memory Suppliers whom will even imprint your company’s logo on one or both sides. Last but not least, it  has Samsung memory inside just like the real shuffle, which makes us wonder if one of the factory workers at the real Shuffle plant snuck these out and sold them off for some extra cash.

Looks like the U.S. is finally going to finally catch up with Japan’s technology, in at least one area – the bathroom. Toilet maker Toto announced that they are setting up a new factory in Mexico City to manufacture the same heated toilets seats that are popular in Japan. Touche! (Source: Muzi)
