Pictureal is a unique company that takes your home videos and transforms them into little film productions. First they transfer off your home video footage from whatever format it was orginally recorded on (8mm, MiniDV, etc). Then their editors wade through hours of your footage to edit out the unusable stuff that is full of emptyness. After that they peace everything together into a beautifully edited movie that can be shared online, placed on an interactive DVD, or downloaded to your iPod. If you’re really lazy, or maybe not so talented when it comes to the whole movie making process, then Pictureal is the ultimate way to go.

J and R has a selection of five 2GB iPod Nanos that they have painted with custom colors using special X2 Scratch Resistant Liquid Plastic Coating. There is a blue body version with a black wheel, a blue body version with a gray center, a blue body version with a red center button, a gray body version with a blue wheel, and our favorite – a jet black black body version with a blue wheel. They Each retail for $265, which means you are spending an extra $65 over the regular price of an iPod Nano. But if you’re buying a Nano, you’ll probably end up spending $30+ on a case and protectors anyway, so this is actually a pretty smart deal. Of course this begs the question of why couldn’t Apple make the Nano with X2 coating to begin with?
