There is an overhwelming selection of portable speakers out there to choose from, but this is the first pink one we’ve found that isn’t manufactured by a no-name company. The SRS-T33 compact portable speaker from Sony weighs just 12 ounces, with batteries included. It’s also magnetically shielded so that it won’t interfere with other electronics. In case you’re not crazy about pink coloring, the SRS-T33 is also available in blue or sliver. It’s currently selling on Amazon for $31 and has pretty positive reviews from people who purchased it and PC Magazine has a brief review as well. If you’re looking for a portable speaker, at this price, it’s worth a try .

It’s nearly time to get those portable speakers out of storage, dust down the sun frocks and get yourself down to the park for some lazing about. Well, maybe not quite yet - still a bit nippy for that

Actually, they’re not worth a try. I had a pair, and it was a waste of $40.00. They have really bad sound. I’m talking about sound distortion at a volume of 5 out of a scale of 10. They look really pretty in person though! Sadly, their good looks do nothing to make up for the fact that after the first or second usage, you won’t use them again because it’s just too painful.
Perhaps, someday, they’ll present items with a slightly more feminine bent that AREN’T cheap gimicks.

I have had these speakers for two years of intensive walks, training for the 60 mile 3day walk to fight breast cancer. This system has seen a lot of hard knocks, but keeps playing great. We are not allowed to wear headphones on the 3 day, since they decrease our responsiveness to traffic. Portable speakers (on low) are one way to enjoy a great beat, or share a sing along while walking. Unlike most portable speakers, which are lighter because they syphon power off your MP3, this set uses batteries which can be changed out as needed. Distortion only occurs when batteries are going bad, so bring a spare set of rechargeables for those all day training walks. See you in DC ladies!!!
