It’s no secret that blogs make money off of advertisements, the most popular advertising method being Google’s Adsense. SoulCast is a blog community linked together with tags. With SoulCast, you sign up, set up your blog, and attach your Adsense account to it so you can immediately start making money when you post. SoulCast emphasizes that one of its communities advantages is that they give true anonymity to their writers which allows people to blog away with out the constraints induced by society, friends or family. They claim that privacy for both the writer and readers is upheld through this policy of anonymity and that thus they don’t collect personal information such as their users IP addresses.
So you’re probably thinking why do do you need SoulCast if you can set up a blog with ads on your own? The benefit of being apart of SoulCast is increased exposure which results in more page hits. They even claim to be growing faster than YouTube. If that is true, that is pretty incredible.
Until recently Creative Reporter offered a similar incentive for bloggers - their members were given $10 for every 1,000 page views they received for a story. Unfortunately, that has been discontinued.
Speaking of getting paid for your writing, we’ve also discovered Triond, a site that takes your content that you submit to it, publishes it on appropriate web sites, and then shares 50% of the generated revenue with you. Overall, we think it’s great that people can have the opportunity to make money for their writings, as long as it’s with their consent.
