Griffin’s PowerMate is a USB multimedia controller with a knob design. The PowerMate looks like a volume knob with a USB connector coming out of it, and it can serve as one but it can also be customized to do a bunch of other stuff like scroll through documents, edit home movies, and an assortment of other things. You can even customize what happens when you push it down. Another neat yet not-so-practical feature of the PowerMate is its cool blue glowing light that shows you the visual status of what you’re controlling. For example, turn up the volume and the light gets brighter. The concept is a bit similar to to Logitech’s ÂNuLOOQ but at a retail price of $45.00 its also significantly less expensive.
