There are many cunning tactics to winning an auction on eBay. Here is one that takes advantage of mistakes and typos. Because eBay doesn’t have a spellcheck, eBooBoos lets you find the auctions with spelling errors. Simply type in your request with the correct spelling and it will list auctions that have errors. Sellers’ loss, your gain. Happy bidding! -Leah Cheng

eBooBoos isn’t the only player that can do this. There’s a whole host of sites out there that can do similar things and, as in life, some are better than others.

One of the better ones (IMHO but then I’m biased) is http://www.missing-auctions.com as it offers the ability to save searches and present the results via RSS – useful if you want to be notified just as soon as a new misspelled item is listed.

Have to agree with Phil, there are several of these sites out there offering such services. Whether they will ever cause the supply of misspelled items on Ebay to dry up though, who knows ?
