For some, the thought of being stuck at sea on a boat full of geeks is a nightmare, but for others it’s a dream. Geek Cruises is the ultimate vacation for computer geeks. They have cruises for Mac, PC, Linux and Photoshop enthusiasts. Each cruise features educational seminars as well as the other stuff that you’d expect from a cruise -a restaurant, lounge, casino, and a chance to visit some exotic locations. The next cruise is set to take of on February 3rd and it will have a mixture of PC and Photoshop seminars. And something tells us that this is one cruise that is sure to have wi-fi on board.

Yeah, there’s wifi on board, but it’s a satellite link with about a half a megabit for all users, an 800 ms ping time, and between 25 and 35 cents a minute for a cost. You’re still better off heading to shore to one of the nearby internet cafes for any serious connection speed or time.
