Logo_moeThe holiday shopping season has begun in full steam, taking no pity on our bank accounts. Here are two great ways to save money on all of your future online purchases by getting back some of what you spent. Ebates and FatWallet both offer cash back from your purchases at a large selection of online merchants. We’ve used both companies and they have both proved to be reliable. There are no forms to fill out, all you have to do is sign up and log in to your account before you make a purchase at an online shop. A browser cookie tracks your purchase so that you get credit for it in your account. Ebates will send you a check with your accumulated earnings every 3 months and FatWallet will send you your choice of a check or Paypal payment, and it usually takes a few months for them to process a purchase as well. While both Ebates and Fatwallet have almost the same selection of merchants participating in their rebate program, we prefer Fatwallet because it seems to have a better percentage rate for many of the same merchants that Ebates has. For example, FatWallet offers a 12% cash back rebate for all VistaPrint, while Ebates offers a 10% cash back rebate for the same merchant. Still it pays to sign up for both in case one of them has a merchant that the other doesn’t have.  Overall, if you remember to shop online using your FatWallet or EBates account, it all eventually adds up to a decent amount of pocket money. And everyone enjoys getting their money back – even if it does take a while. – Ali Heriyanto
