iQua’s BHS-302 Ear-Bud Bluetooth Headset

By Chip Chick

December 24th, 2006

Bhs With it’s ear-bud design, the
iQua’s BHS-302 Bluetooth headset deviates from traditional wireless headsets. Some of us prefer the ear-bud look because it feels more natural, probably because we’re so used to wearing ipod ear-buds.The BHS-302 ear-bud is connected to a clip-system that is meant to attach to a shirt or purse – which in a way kind of defeats the purpose of being wireless. But the headset can also be used for VOIP calls, which is a nice bonus. The BHS-302 weighs just 17grams, has a talk time of up to 9 hours, and it’s available in white, silver and charcoal.

By Chip Chick

Desktopac
The Desktop Air Conditioner is meant to sit next to your computer and refresh you with cool air. It is the dead of winter here in the North East, so it’s hard for us to imagine having the desire to have extra cool air blowing at you. However, those of you in hot climates might want to try out the Desktop Air Conditioner. Some customers at Amazon are saying good things about it while others are saying it would only cool off a fly. To each their own then. Also, we can’t help but wonder if this could be used to cool off a PC from the outside, or is that just a really dumb idea?. The Desktop Air Conditioner retails for $23.99.

Free Live TV Stations on Your Computer with the TVU Player

By Chip Chick

The Free TVU player gives you acces to live streaming TV stations for those running Windows. The TVU selection isn’t half bad, they have some NBC and FOX stations from around the U.S., as well as several other stations from around the world. And we hope that the selection continues to grow.
It took about 30 seconds for us to connect to a FOX channel that was playing Seinfeld. Once the show started, it played pretty smoothly. Unfortunately some other channels we tested didn’t play as well and kept cutting out. Still, we all love freebies, and the TVU Player is one worth checking out. Also, the T3Hub is a self-powered hub, meaning it can accept devices with a nominal power requirement of 500 mA. Amazingly enough, it can also host two normal low-power USB devices with one high-power USB device without requiring a power supply for itself. And because of its diminutive size, the T3Hub is perfect for laptops. Dr. Bott’s T3Hub retails for $19.99.
