Awesome info….. I bought this thing about 3 weeks ago after I saw a kid riding ripstik caster board around a college campus. After maybe 5 minutes of me holding onto my car to stay balanced. It allows for acceleration and turning without pushing. I was riding around nervously. A few days later, I was riding around parking lots, no problem! Much easier than a skateboard. The deck provides increased foot control and the polyurethane wheels and ABEC 5 bearings give you a smooth ride.

Hmmm well now idk id kinda prefer a scateboard over ne-thing only cause scate board benefist: can ride down hill w/o having to get off(steep hills) doing most trics feel like u wont break ur anckel(which herts ~_~) but the same is for the ripstick just that
u knwo…..
if u rode the ripstick….
its very unstable, being in newyork my weels ran down alot also Lol
its like a board for cali really.

I got a ripstick at the weekend and I’ve got to say I love it. A really unique boarding experience. Didn’t take long to master it at all. I’m in the UK and got mine from http://www.ripstikuk.com in case anyone else is looking.

Turning is instinctive. I don’t honestly understand how you couldn’t figure out how to turn on a ripstick.

i got 1 like 2 days ago and there rubbish u can hardly move the wheels they can hardly steer and bye thata i maen you cant turn right or left so all i say is DONT GET ONE THERE A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!

i just got the ripstik like yesterday and i tried it right away … it was AWESOME ITS PRETTY ODD but like the next day i could do it .. and i even learend how to do 1 trick

yo i got one and i have had it for like only 2 weeks and it is not hard at all and i am way use to it. i even started doing tricks like an ollie, nose manual, manual, grinding, and one wheeled turns.

P.S. its way better then the wave, is has more controll and speed. the only thing the wave is better for is grinding cuz the middle of the the two parts is plastic not rubber but grinding is hard anyways

i think that it was worth it. i bought one too. it was too wierd to start off, i have ridden a skatebord. you can still do all of the tricks that your used to but, when you land, balance is an issue. Other than that, buy it!!! $$
ps. definately throw in a helmet..

yo i just bought the ripstick yesterday from models at first it looks challenging especially when u dont read manuels but with like 15-1 hr u should be ok
