CES 2007: Boom’s Stylish ANT Lounger and Buddy Pillow
We’ve seen many chairs with built-in speakers over the past few years, and Boom has been one of those companies pumping these out. But until now all of these chairs have kind of looked generically the same. The latest BoomChair, the ANT, brings these chairs to the next level. Taking design cues from the 50’s, the plush red micro-seude lounge chair with chrome legs, not only looks comfy but it also looks like something you would find in a hosh-posh loft. And aside for its good looks, the chair features a pair of 3″ 2-way speakers, a subwoofer and interactive vibration motors. Boom has also come out with the Boom Buddy, which is essentially a “husband” pillow packed with a pair of speakers that are covered in Boom’s traditional micro suede-surface. We expect these to be popular in college dorm rooms.
