CES 2007: oqo’s model 02 UMPC Running Vista

Today at Bill Gate’s keynote for CES, Bill showcased OQO’s long awaited Model 02. And at Pepcom’s Digital Experience tonight, oqo couldn’t wait to show off the slick new UMPC competitor. Sporting a makeover which includes a black finish, a brighter screen, a more ergonomic keyboard, a bigger hard drive, and 1gb of DDR2 ram, the model 02 is the world’s smallest PC able to run Windows Vista. At least for the moment. It’s just a shame that the starting price of $1499 will put it out of reach for most. We’re still waiting for those affordable UMPCs to show up that were promised to us so long ago.
