All hail the new do-it-all devices for your living room. Rigel by Artemide is a modern floor lamp that gives off colored light when turned on, and looks like a mirror when switched off. It also has a built-in speaker and an air purifier, which is a combination we would have never have thought of. Never the less it could actually be a useful space-saver. However, if you can afford Rigel’s retail price of £1,900, then space probably isn’t an issue for you. (Source: T3 Home Magazine, Winter ‘07)

The problem with air purifiers is that they make your home smell a bit like a swimming pool. Still they are stunning looking lights.

the swimming pool odor is ozone… it’s a toxic byproduct of the ionizer that is in the unit. it’s bad 4 u!
