Call Wave Offers Free Visual Voicemail for Your Cell Phone, No iPhone Required

Once and a while we come across a free service so cool and useful, we can hardly believe that it’s free. CallWave is just that, our latest favorite freebie service. By now you’ve probably memorized all of the iPhone’s upcoming features, including visual voicemail. For non-Cingular customers, or people who just won’t or can’t get the iPhone when the time comes, this feature has to admittedly make you jealous. But there is no need to let the green eyed monster out anymore because CallWave brings you visual voicemail for free, regardless of your cellular provider. The sign up process is easy, and once you agree to their terms, CallWave replaces your ordinary voicemail system. However, you can return to your original voicemail system at any time you choose.

The way it works is that when someone leaves you a message, you have the option to be notified by email and/or text message. The email and/or text message gives you details about the caller ID and city from which the caller originated from, the time the message was left and the length of the message. CallWave will also notify you of missed calls. The option to download your voicemail is perfect for people who are traveling overseas and don’t want to spend money on long distance every time that they dial in and retrieve their voicemail. It’s also convenient for situations where you forget to bring your phone a long with you, but you have internet access handy. They also offer free widgets on your site to use which make it even easier to keep yourself in the loop with your own messages. Overall, CallWave should be useful in a myriad of ways, and for the price of nothing, it is totally worth checking out.
