You have to put the amplifier within 12 inches of the speaker, otherwise, all you hear is static noise. Duh, if I sit within 12 inches of the speaker, I don't NEED an amplifier. I called the Listen Up customer service office however, because I bought it at a store and not their specific website, they refuse to replace it. They are happy to sell me another for the same price. I don't think so, no thanks. Yes, it is JUNK. Don't waste your money. I bought the Listen Up amplifier last week. After I called them, they first refused to correct the mistake and then gave the voicemail of the manager....and guess what? He never called back . The product itself looks cheap and is completely useless, it works like a stethoscope, so when you touch it or god forbid drop it, you'll hear it!!!!!
