The USB Scrolling LED Name Badge III has an 8 message storage capacity as well as 5 scrolling modes with a flash effect. The included software makes it easy to send messages to the badges via an infrared transmitter located on the USB cable that also comes with the package. There are three models available including pink, green, and yellow, ranging in price from $27 to $32. For some reason unknown to us, the pink version is the most expensive one…

    6 Months ago, these were extremely hard to get – the reason being that the usb connection was hard to find. They were all still relying on the out of date serial connection. This isn’t fool proof though – you’ll find these usb ones use a usb to serial driver. Still, If the specs are available, you’d be able to program for this by yourself… nifty sounding.
