Whether it’s via Mac OS X’s Dashboard, Vista’s Sidebar, or Yahoo’s Widgets, Widgets are taking desktops by storm for good reason – they’re fun and convenient little ways of accessing information. Finally, one company is actually bringing widgets to your cell phone. With Widsets, set up is as easy as selecting which widgets you want on the WidSets web site and then having them sent to your phone. The service is free, but unfortunately the catch is that not all cell phones are supported. And that leaves me disappointed since my Windows Mobile phone is one of the phones that currently don’t support WidSets. However, WidSets is still in beta, so hopefully they will make the service compatible with more handsets in the near future.
