Behringer’s USB Guitar For Rocking Out With Your Computer
June 29, 2007
Behringer’s Centari iAXE624 isn’t just a guitar, it’s a USB Guitar. That means you can record music straight to your computer, or play along with your MP3 and other music files and pull some tricks off like time-stretching and a metronome. The guitar package also comes with multi-track recording and editing software. Aside from the iAXE624, Behringer has three other classically designed USB guitars as well. Now if only they would make a USB guitar that teaches you how to play the Guitar, we’d be all set.

Photobook Creator Helps You Create Professional Books at Home
June 29, 2007
Just the other day I posted about my positive experience, with Blurb, an online service that helps regular folk produce photo books that look like they were made by the pros. And though I am very happy with Blurb, it did take a few weeks for them to print the book and have it sent to me. But what if you’re the last minute type who wants to put a similarly professional-looking photo book together, but you cant afford to wait a few weeks? PhotoBook Creator is a good alternative to consider. The package comes complete with all the tools you need to design and print your photo book at home using a regular printer and some easy steps. Do I still prefer Blurb? Yes. But this PhotoBook Creator seems like a great choice for procrastinators.
Luxury 2GB OLED Leather Wristwatch For Wearing Your Word Documents in Style
June 28, 2007
Watches that double as storage devices are nothing new, but this “luxury” 2GB OLED Leather Wristwatch from Vavolo is looking pretty swanky with its 1.5″ OLED display and all. When we say and all, we mean that it has the following features; it can play mp3s, digital recording, display pictures, show lyrics and even ebooks, not that you want to read a novel this way. But really what stands out about this watch is not its features, or its OLED display, but rather its classy good looks, which are much more dashing than those watches with chunky ugly plastic bands that just scream nerd. Not that this watch doesn’t scream nerd either - it just doesn’t shout it, if you get our drift. The watch retails for $109.99 and the 1GB version retails for $99.

Roberts MP23 Sound is the Hottest DAB Ever
June 27, 2007
What can we say, we’re a sucker for gadgets with a piano black finish. That and a blue back lit LCD display, a slot loading CD alone make the MP23 very tempting. The SD Slot for MP3 and WMA files, FM Radio and USB connections just add icing to the cake that the Roberts MP23 is. Oh, you lucky Brits, how we envy your free DAB radio and your spiffy DAB systems while we are forced to pay subscription fees for premium radio like XM and Sirius. Not to mention that we don’t have any pretty systems like the MP23. So go ahead you lucky folks overseas and buy the Roberts MP23 for £229.00, and think of us when you caress its glossy exterior.
Wow Them with a Blurb Photo Book
June 27, 2007
Forget the mug, the t-shirt, or the custom made calendar with photos, we’ve discovered a gift that will blow them away. Blurb offers free downloadable software that allows you to design a photo book, portfolio, business book or wedding book. The software is really simple to work with and is surprisingly intuitive. You can choose from themes to work with, as well as a myriad of choices for photo and text page layouts. The software is limited, and is no replacement for In Design or Quark Xpress but it gets the job done really well. The result is a really professional book. I just got my first Blurb book in the mail today and I am really impressed with the print quality. I ordered a 8×11 hard cover book which took about 2 weeks to arrive from the time i uploaded it using the Blurb Booksmart software. There are many sizes and formats you can choose from, including 7×7, 13×11 and soft cover books as well. I showed it off and almost fooled people in to thinking that I had published something.
Are there other services like Blurb? Yes. But after my really satisfying experience with Blurb, I don’t see why I’d go anywhere else. And aside from using Blurb books for gifts, Blurb even has the option for you to sell your masterpiece online and they’ll do all the dirty work for you (printing, shipping, and credit card processing), similar to CafePress to Lulu.

iLugger Transforms Your iMac or Mac Mini in to a Portable Computer, Sort of
June 26, 2007
iLugger has a selection of durable water resistant nylon bags that are designed to carry around an iMac, a Mac Display, or a Mac Tower. The cases come with heavy foam padding, a removable shoulder strap, an extra handle for support and removable backpack straps on certain models. The iMac cases even come in different colors including Gray, Black Blue/black, or orange/black. While we wouldn’t recommend using the iLugger frequently (unless you’re the Hulk), still it does make the idea of carrying your PC around with you not so crazy to consider.
Wilson Audio Alexandria Loudspeakers Look Strange, Cost 200K
June 26, 2007
What costs about 200K, looks like a leg of a Transformer and supposedly produces incredible sound? Wilson Audio Alexandria Loudspeakers. “Alexandria’s revolutionary Aspherical Group Delay employs upper frequency driver modules that adjust linearly to optimize time alignment. Additionally, each module also rotates on its polar axis in order to achieve optimal driver dispersion for nearly any size room and for multiple listening positions.” Yeh, yeh, yeh, whatever. It has a price tag that is higher than the cost of some homes so it just better be real good. (Source: T3 Magazine, July ‘07)

June 26, 2007
The folks over at FractalSpin are at it again with new geeky jewelry. Their latest selection includes a sterling silver flip Cell Phone (that actually opens and closes), a Calculator, Microscope, or Floppy Disk. Prima Cases Review
June 25, 2007
Recently, we got several samples from Prima so that we could judge the quality of the case for ourselves. Prima has a large selection of different styles, ranging from classic and reserved to stylish and fashionable. Aside from the generous selection, we’ve always appreciated Prima’s reasonable prices.
Amongst the cases we received was the Premium leather Turtle Case Leather shell for the Motorola KRZR. The cover is made of a smart hard snap-on shell covered in a sexy croc leather which is available in either pink suede, green apple croc, a black crocodile pattern, black suede, or a smoke gray suede. The Turtle Case is a helluva lot nicer then a skin or one of those plastic face plates you see at the mall or in China Town, and is sure to impress your friends. The case retails each for $19.95. Accordion Hero II
June 25, 2007
So I’m reading Computer Games Magazine and I see a full page ad for Accordion Hero II. I was A bit confused, a bit shocked, and admittedly - a bit excited. I hadn’t heard of Accordion Hero I, forget about Accordion Hero II. My curiosity lead me to the web site address listed on the ad, which was actually a very professional looking, well designed ad. Arriving at the site I quickly determined that this is all obviously a big joke, complete with very convincing 3D renders of the Accordion Hero II package, as well as a scary screen shot from the game. And well, it even gave me a good chuckle. But ultimately, I’m left aghast wondering who would bother doing this? A Web site is one thing, but going as far as to put an ad in a gaming magazine? It seems that someone has to much free time and money.
DuPont Corian Z Kitchen Island Looks Like Something Out of Star Trek
June 25, 2007
The Z Kitchen Island doesn’t look like a kitchen island at all, or rather not one that you’d expect to see in the 21st century. Designed like something out of the Jetsons or Star Trek, the Island’s slick curves and surface features a built-in PC, nd sound actuators and LEDs which users can use to surf the internet, listen to music or create a particular ambiance by means of a centralized touch-control panel. Sound Actuators? Who cares if we don’t understand exactly what it’s talking about, it looks super cool. Pricing begins somewhere over 8 grand. (Source: T3 Magazine, July ‘07)
AG Neovo’s FotoVivo Photo Frame with Touch Sensitive Controls
June 25, 2007
When it comes to Digital Photo Frames, it seems like if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. However AG Neovo’s FotoVivo has a lot more spunk and style then the average photo frame. It’s got a touch-sensitive frame and LED control buttons for that oooh, ahhh look. The frame is available in either glossy red or black. Unfortunately the miniscule 128mb flash memory inside of it is a bummer. But can you ever have looks and brains in the same package?

How to Track Sent E-mail
June 22, 2007
Ever wonder if the person you sent an email to actually read it or not? We’ve all been guilty of that, especially when it comes to ex’s. DidTheyReadIt is a tricky service that tracks messages so that you can find out if they did indeed read it or not. All you have to do is sign up for the service and add DidTheyReadIt.com to the end of their email address so that it will be tracked. And no worries - they won’t see that little addition when they receive your email.
Make 3D Creatures from Your Printer
June 22, 2007
Here is a great activity for a rainy afternoon. FormWild software helps you create 3-dimensional animals from print outs. While following the patterns is no simple feat, at the end you’ll have created a paper or plastic creature that is much more impressive then a simple paper air plane. Amongst the kind of creatures you can create are fish, spiders, farm animals, birds and much more.
