The Z Kitchen Island doesn’t look like a kitchen island at all, or rather not one that you’d expect to see in the 21st century. Designed like something out of the Jetsons or Star Trek, the Island’s slick curves and surface features a built-in PC, nd sound actuators and LEDs which users can use to surf the internet, listen to music or create a particular ambiance by means of a centralized touch-control panel. Sound Actuators? Who cares if we don’t understand exactly what it’s talking about, it looks super cool. Pricing begins somewhere over 8 grand. (Source: T3 Magazine, July ‘07)
