Prima Cases Review
Recently, we got several samples from Prima so that we could judge the quality of the case for ourselves. Prima has a large selection of different styles, ranging from classic and reserved to stylish and fashionable. Aside from the generous selection, we’ve always appreciated Prima’s reasonable prices.
Amongst the cases we received was the Premium leather Turtle Case Leather shell for the Motorola KRZR. The cover is made of a smart hard snap-on shell covered in a sexy croc leather which is available in either pink suede, green apple croc, a black crocodile pattern, black suede, or a smoke gray suede. The Turtle Case is a helluva lot nicer then a skin or one of those plastic face plates you see at the mall or in China Town, and is sure to impress your friends. The case retails each for $19.95.
Next up, the premium leather lateral holster for the Blackberry 8700G is a sleek case that has a classic charm going for it, meaning it will sit well with mostly everyone. The case fits the ever so popular Backberry 8700g to a T with a flap closure and it also comes with a removable swivel clip. And boy do we hate cases with belt clips that aren’t removable, so we always prefer a removable clip because it takes away unneeded bulk when you’re not using the clip. The case retails for just $27.95, which is a good deal for a real leather case, and it’s available in black, chocolate or red. We prefer the red version, it looks more like a $50 case to us.
For your ipod, Prima has a Crystal Lucite Clear Case for the 5G ipod with Video or the ipod Nano. The included belt clip and neck strap give you two good options for how you want to carry your ipod, and the plastic shell does a good job of protecting your ipod from the elements. However, this case isn’t anything extraordinary, and rather a run of the mill ipod case. Still, the $17.95 price is competitive and we like that belt clip is detachable.
Prima also carries a selection cases designed by Nicole Miller. Our favorite case of the whole bunch was indeed one of Nicole Miller’s, a nubuck leather (suede) a universal cell phone / digital camera case with a side loop handle. The case fit my ultra compact digital camera snuggly. The case retails for $29.95 and is available in brown or smoke grey.
Overall, we are very satisfied with Prima’s wide selection of cases for dressing up and protecting your gadgets. If you’re in the market for stylish yet affordable case for your cell phone or MP3 player, Prima is the way to go.
