MAINFRAME, the Forceful Axe-wielding Computer
We’ve seen many cartoons over the years depicting some irritated computer user taking out their frustration on a computer with physical violence. But we’d never considered that our beloved computers would ever come after us. Sure, maybe we should treat our PCs a little better by keeping our anti-virus software updated and the hard drive’s defragged, but that’s no reason to have a PC wield an ax at us, err, right? “Created in 2002, Mainframe is an exploration about our delicate relationship with technology. Begun as a series of paintings, the image and concept of Mainframe took root and spread rapidly across the globe.” And now you can have a 8 inch Mainframe rotocast figure of your own in either orange, “duck season” or white for $54.99. However, this kind of reminds us of Rise of the Machines so we’ll pass.
