Victory Vision is the First iPod Motor Bike

victoryvision Victory Vision is the First iPod Motor BikeWe know naught about motorcycles, but just based on looks alone, the Victory Vision 2008 seems to be quite the ride. But it’s not the rpm or even it’s slick style that has us interested in the Vision, but its connectivity options. The bike comes ready with iPod connectivity – with music navigation controls smartly placed on the handle bars while tracks can be viewed on the dashboard. The premium version also has a 4 speaker system, and you can have XM radio thrown in as well. We’ll take one in red please.

What really steals the thunder from all these names is the Victory Vision 2008. No, it’s not a bike-shaped iPod dock but a full-fledged, red-blooded bike that will make you swoon with desire. And it comes iPod connectivity. The music navigation controls are placed on the handlebars and the tracks can be viewed on the dashboard. The premium version also has a 4-speaker system, and you can have XM radio as well. There is no word on pricing and availability of Victory Vision 2008. Polaris via Chipchick [...]

It’s true, the Vision is the first bike to design audio into the bike rather than glom it on after production. The incorporation of iPod-ready cabling allows the rider to control the iPod’s features through the handgrip controls – very cool! Just be aware, Victory spec’d the bike with the iPod Nano (with its flash memory), not the video iPods (which use harddrives). We at Vision-Riders have found that harddrive based players tend to “hang” after some time, most likely due to resonance and vibration (though minimal) inherent in the bike. Not saying they won’t work, they just may hang and need rebooting after a couple songs.

    Cheers,
    Jeff
