isquid iSquid USB Key No Ink IncludedWe’ve seen some wacky USB keys in our day, but not only is this one wacky, it’s also creepy. The iSquid is a 512MB memory key complete with jelly-like tentacles. Feature wise he is just your run-of-the-mill USB key but he has the unique ability to glow in the dark. The iSquid retails for $89.04, which is beyond ridiculous for a 512mb USB key, but that’s what you get for importing a crazy gadget in from Japan.

    Cut a jelly fishing lure in half, hollow out slightly, stuff a drive in one side and a cap in the other…Voila! Sell for 90 bucks.

    Uff – this is crazy; far too expensive! 1GB NAND flash from e.g Hynix or Samsung comes for less than 10 USD these days. If you really want a strange/crazy customized shell for this memory that’s not a big problem either. There are several companies out there specializing in just this.
