Growing up I went through a brief phase where I tried learning how to pay the violin, and then later the piano. Unfortunately I never made it very far because I didn’t like practicing. Rather, I preferred to spend my time watching TV and playing video games. The new Rhythm n’ Notes game for Nintendo DS teaches time signatures and chords on the drums and piano. You’ll also learn to recognize musical timing, rhythmic patterns and notes. If only this game had been around when I was a kid, perhaps I could have been tricked in to actually practicing. Rhythm n’ Notes retails for $19.99. But perhaps it’s not too late?
