I've got both the iPod Touch and the P2. Neither came with an AC charger. Both charge easily when plugged into an active USB port. The Touch is larger (good), heavier (bad), has similar screen resolution (480x320) as the P2 (480x272) but not in 16/9 ratio, and spread over a larger area. Both look amazing when playing video. Watch Amazon.com as they put the 8GB P2 on sale frequently. I got mine for under $200. Bluetooth is GREAT. The P2 will allow (at least) two stereo bluetooth headsets at the same time. I bought an insignia bluetooth adapter that turns any ipod speaker dock into a receiver for the P2's bluetooth. With a Bluetooth transceiver on my PC I can transfer files back and forth between it and the P2.

The one thing they should try and fix is to allow the FM radio to work with bluetooth headphones. Yes, you'll need the wired earplugs plugged in to act as an antenna, but doing that doesn't disable the bluetooth transmission.

If they come out with the rumored add-on dock that includes wifi (and a browser), FM transmitter, and SD or microSD memory slot this device will be an world beater. Bluetooth is what the iPod Touch should have had all along.

Just bought the player off amazon! I can't wait for it to arrive... And the new firmware updates are definitely a thing to look forward too. Especially having games with a touch screen, that sounds awesome. And hopefully people will figure out how to enhance the P2's features and you'll be able to somehow put 3rd party software on the P2.

Only cons I can think of so far is that it was a bit expensive for the amount of memory, but cheaper than the IPOD TOUCH (in your face) and that it doesn't come with an AC home charger. What the heck is up with that?
On the price though, I think it's ok to splurge on electronics that are really good quality. As the reviews say that the P2 has excellent sound quality.

Previous player was a Zen Micro. Started conking out on me. That was also touch controls.

I don't get what's the big deal with Apple and why their iPod is so popular. Their products have over a billion things wrong with them including the recessed headphone jacks and the ipods being radioactive (it's a fact!!). I don't wanna kill myself listening to music. PPL, DONT TURN GAY TO LISTEN TO MUSIC! GET THE SAMSUNG P2 over the NANO! there r also other awesome video media players so don't let the iPod be the first thing to come to ur mind! Oh, and don't get me started with iTunes.
Alright, so I got the Samsung YP-P2 and it's AWESOME! The touchscreen is awesome, the included headphones sounds awesome and they stay in ur ears no matter what. MUSIC really SOUNDS AWESOME! BEYOND WONDER! BETTER THAN STEREO SYSTEMS and im not KIDDING!!!
THE VIDEO looks AMAZING! It's on WIDESCREEN and has a great BIG SCREEN. IT REALLY LOOKS GREAT!!!LIKE ON A PLASMA FLAT WIDESCREEN TV!3inches...thats right...it widescreen is 3 INCHES!!Better than the 1.5 or the 2.5 square screens other (iPod..cough)media players have. The pictures look great too with great resolutions. The FM Radio is a really nice feature. Great when u want to listen to something new or just broadcasted music and not ur own playlists. The equalizer (DNsE) is great, ultimate tech ever. There r other great things on this thing such as BLUETOOTH!!!!!and calendar, time, alarm, world time (preseted).
IM TELLING U GUYS, THE SAMSUNG P2 IS THE BEST MP3/MEDIA PLAYER EVER!!!!

It is great to se that women like electronics too. Sometimes it seems like only men are interested in them. I am sure that this will be a pretty cool device, but I am really sold on Apple poducts. It was not always that way, because I had never tried them before. Oce I got my MacBook Pro though, I have been sold ever since. I love Apple products because they are a seemless combination of hardware and software and they are built well. I don't think that I would ever take a Samsung over an Apple even if the Samsung had a couple extra features. I love your blog here, thanks.
