CES 2008: icon Steals the Show with their Line of Stylish Laptop & Electronics Cases
We saw MANY, MANY iPod Cases, Laptop Cases, Camera Cases and iPhone Cases this year. Practically, you name it we saw a case for it on our trip through the CES playground. But out of all of them, the best company we stumbled upon is icon cases. They offer a wide range of cases that are both stylish and well made. Their attention to detail is astounding from their metal clasps to their stitching. We were also impressed by the thinking that went in to them. These cases are truly made for all types of people - the busy, athletic, or classy man or woman and they don’t lack in style or design. One item in particular that stood out are their upcoming laptop protective shells they have for the Apple Macbooks. They are similar to the popular Speck SeeThru hard cases in concept but they not only protect your laptop but transform it in to something that looks like a million bucks. They are made of high quality soft leather and are beautiful. The workmanship is amazing and the different leather designs we saw are gorgeous. icon also makes iPod cases in many different colors and designs, many o which come with a built-in easel so that they can stand on their own for easy video viewing. They also make wallets for the Nano, perfect for quick jog, you can fit two or three credit cards inside.
One of the other standout factors of icons products is the ability to take any Camera Case, Fashion Tote or any other case from the icon line and have it coordinate to a another case in the same icon family. Every case has a subtle similar design that you can mix and match between different cases and still look coordinated.
Unfortunately, you can’t buy the cases from their site directly but some of their products are available to purchase at Target and Walmart, at affordable prices. We are hoping that more of their products will show up in Apple stores or Best Buy soon. These are beautiful well made cases that everyone will love and they should be seen!
