CES 2008: Kingston Data Traveler Style USB Key with Custom Skins

kingstncustom CES 2008: Kingston Data Traveler Style USB Key with Custom SkinsAh, yes USB keys - we saw plenty of them at CES too. Half of the press releases seemed to be about one USB key or another. But Not all USB’s have to look the same. Kingston in fact agrees with that philosophy and just released the Data Traveler Style. Not your typical USB key - you can customize a 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB with different skins and statements. To name a few there are “redhead mosaic, bamboo, sunflower, lace, retro and tangerine dream.” or you can upload your own skin. If you’re fond of cows, and really, who isn’t, you can create a USB key with a cow design and write the words “moo”. Kingston has teamed up with Amazon to offer this exclusively when they become available, so check it out. The body of the key itself is available in black or white. Prices range from $16 to $111.00 depending on capacities.kingstondesigner CES 2008: Kingston Data Traveler Style USB Key with Custom Skins

[...] Pexagon is one of the unique companies that lets you buy personalize a USB key with a logo or name without having to buy them in bulk. They’ve now taken their personalizing options a step further with a wizard on their web site that lets you choose from several designs and preview how the USB key would look on the spot. There are designs ranging from holiday themes to events, to just plain pretty ones. You can customize both sides of the USB key, including having text one one side. And of course, like all of their USB keys, you also get to choose from a large selection of 14 colors, and up to 8GB in capacity. The prices are very resonabvle - an 8GB version is available for $52. Additionally you can even upload your own logo or design. This service might remind you of Kingston’s USB key customization options that we mentioned a while back, however Kingston lets you customize Skins for your USB key, while Pexagon is actually engraving the design on to your USB Key. |del.icio.us | Digg it | reddit | StumbleUpon | Yahoo MyWeb | [...]
