I've realized that my external TV Tuner pulls 9 watts when it's in standby mode, my string of rope lights I had lit for Christmas pulls 125W a strand, so the two strands I have on my balcony were actually using 250W! All of the savings I've been getting by using CFL bulbs have been blown away by turning on the rope lights.
