Coby Releases iPod Touch Competitor

cobymp835 Coby Releases iPod Touch CompetitorEver since the iPod Touch was released, it seems like every big MP3 player manufacturer has been pumping out their own Touchscreen player in an effort to compete. Thus, it’s no suprise that Coby’s new MP-835 sports a design very similar to the Touch. It’s got a 3″ 480 x 272 widescreen TFT LCD screen that sports “intuitive” touch screen controls. It comes with either 2GB or 4GB which can be expanded via a MicroSD slot, something that we’ll probably never see in an Apple product and would definately be nice to have. The MP-835 also plays FM radio and supports WMA, OGG, and MP3 music files, AVI and WMV video files, photos, text files, and popular subscription services. We’re pretty sure that its interface wont come close to the Touch, but we got to give Coby props for trying, as the MP-835 does look pretty swanky and is likely to be significantly more affordable than the Touch.
