petmate Pet Mate Elite Uses RFID Chips To Keep Your Cat in at NightIs your cat coming in at all times of night? Is he bringing strange friends with him? The Pet Mate Elite is ready to bring an end to all of that. The Pet-Mate Elite is a high-tech Flap/door that lets you control which kitties – or canines come in to your home, and when they can come in. The device supports up to 8 RFID chips, each to attach to a different pet. This way you can control who comes in and out . It also features a timer function so that you can keep your cats in at night – you know like a curfew. If only they had something like this for teenagers Uh oh, maybe in a few years, they will. This is no different from the type that use magnets. Both the magnetic-lock and the RFID-lock cat doors are still vulnerable to stray cats following your cats through, and either can be simply ripped from your door by a very hungry raccoon family. (Not that I, uh, have had that happen to me. Ever.)
