"Anyone who spends $1800 on this thing deserves to be shot in the face with a double barreled shotgun." Wow, Koen, how mature of you. I think you just insulted most of the Executive crowd who buy laptops from Sony and others too. Being thin and light is *the* *most* *important* factor for many people.

At any rate, the keyboard on the MBA is certainly better than many smaller laptops, and the screen is quite impressive compared to any other laptops I have used.

It's not the best at everything, and the overheating issue is a major annoyance, but suggesting violent death to those who are willing to shell out for what's important to them? I'm sure glad you're not in a position of power.

As an aside, I had the overheating issues occasionally, and CoolBook did solve them for me. Of course, one shouldn't have to buy a 3rd party utility to make a $1800 laptop work properly - I think everyone can agree to that.

Yes, I thought exactly the same. IS REALLY stupid to pay 1.800 dollars for a computer that DOES NOT work.

and what is incredible is that Apple is not really explaining it. They just launch "Fan firmware updates", bullshit.

make my AIR work please!!

Coolbook made me recover my sanity.

Anyone who spends $1800 on this thing deserves to be shot in the face with a double barreled shotgun. It looks nice, it's thin, and that's it! I have tried out one of these things in the local Media Mart and they plain and simply suck. The keyboard is the worst I have ever encountered in a laptop and the display isn't really impressive. You can get much, much better small laptops that cost a lot less.
