Santa Monica Pier Pacific Wheel Gets a Nip and Tuck
When you think of the Santa Monica Pier you right away have the image of the famous Pacific Wheel on the pier. It has been in movies, television shows, countless music videos and a tourist destination for many who come to Los Angeles. After 12 years of dutiful service the current version of the solar powered wheel came down in early May and was replaced with and even more green friendly wheel. The all new wheel will have “160,000 energy efficient LED lights” that will dazzle the Southern California coastline while still being eco- friendly by cutting costs and time changing those light bulbs….If you can’t make it to LA, the Pacific Pier website offers a webcam of the new wheel in all its glory.
