Trumpet Prepaid Mobile Offers Cheap International Rates

trumpet 300x233 Trumpet Prepaid Mobile Offers Cheap International RatesThere seems to be new prepaid cell phone services popping up almost everyday, really, we can’t keep track anymore. But the just two months old Trumpet Mobile has something to offer that even wireless users who already have a contract will want – cheap international long distance rates – actually the cheapest we’ve seen yet from a cell phone service in the U.S. You’d think that T-Mobile or Verizon for instance would offer good international long distance rates for their subscribers, but they don’t. For example, a call to Ireland costs $0.34 a minute for a T-mobile (USA) customer. However Trumpet Mobile, which is prepaid, costs $0.20 per minute to Ireland. For someone who calls internationally frequently on their cell phone, it’s worth it to buy a Trumpet Mobile phone just for their international calls. You can buy a cell phone package for as little as $29.99 which includes a LG 125 flip phone.

My wife and I have both had Trumpet phones for the past year and have a mixed response with them. They are great for long distance phone calls and for international calls as the minutes are cheap! but the phone can ONLY be used within the USA. If you travel to another country, as we do a few times per year, your phone will not have any service, or roaming, and unfortunately you cant unlock this phone either! It also doesnt have service within the USA in remote parts, so if you live in Alaska, or in the middle of Wyoming you are wasting your time and money with this phone.
Customer Service is no existant with this phone, so if you are the type of person that needs CS, and wants to talk with a person, better to go to AT&T or elsewhere. One other bad thing is that your prepaid minutes run out very quickly, and there is no roll-over period as on other larger companies.
I would recommend this phone for a travel phone, a temp phone or to use as a secondary cell only for international calls.
Dont make the same mistake I have and use it for a year or more, not worth it in the long run!

Where can we buy that or where can we acquire it? How does it make differ from Skype? I wish that you would discuss more further on this. :)
