My wife and I have both had Trumpet phones for the past year and have a mixed response with them. They are great for long distance phone calls and for international calls as the minutes are cheap! but the phone can ONLY be used within the USA. If you travel to another country, as we do a few times per year, your phone will not have any service, or roaming, and unfortunately you cant unlock this phone either! It also doesnt have service within the USA in remote parts, so if you live in Alaska, or in the middle of Wyoming you are wasting your time and money with this phone.
Customer Service is no existant with this phone, so if you are the type of person that needs CS, and wants to talk with a person, better to go to AT&T or elsewhere. One other bad thing is that your prepaid minutes run out very quickly, and there is no roll-over period as on other larger companies.
I would recommend this phone for a travel phone, a temp phone or to use as a secondary cell only for international calls.
Dont make the same mistake I have and use it for a year or more, not worth it in the long run!

i have a trumpet phone and i am very happy with it, however, i had it in my shirt pocket and inadvertently washed it. it does not work. i have time on there. what happens to the time on this phoine if i have to buy another? thank you

Can i make calls while I am in Pakistan from my trumpet mobile phone that I just purchased. I want to be able to make calls in Pakistan to other numbers in Pakistan. Please let me know.
