Snowflake Portable Mic is Perfect for Podcasting on the Go

snowflake-300x225 Snowflake Portable Mic is Perfect for Podcasting on the Go

Snowflake is the first portable USB professional mic from Blue Microphones. I’m not quite sure why they named it snowflake since it doesn’t look like one, but nonetheless it will certainly aid podcasting on the fly. It works on both PC and Mac and claims it will work well with iChat, Skype, and voice recognition software. It will even work well for recording music via Garageband and any other music recording software. The main selling point of course is the portability of the device. The snowflake can easily mount to the screen of a laptop or sit on a flat surface and easily hid out of sight. The frequency response is 35Hz - 20kHz and sample/word is 44.1 kHz/16 bit. MacLife mag reviewed the Snowflake, gave it 5 stars and called it Awesome. The snowflake USB mic retails for just $69 at Amazon.
