Move over Trillian and Pidgin. There is a bigger, more bad-a$$ multi-protocol Instant Messaging client out there and it’s called Digsby. Digsby supports practically every known IM client including AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber, MySpace IM and Facebook Chat Accounts, just to name a few. Ok, so that isn’t exactly extraordinary – but the fact that it also lets you keep track on your favorite Social Networking sites is pretty unique. Digsby lets you keep track of friend requests, messages, group invites, etc for your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn accounts, and you can also set your status directly from Digsby. But wait, there’s more! Digsby also notifies you of new mail for your Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL/AIM Mail, IMAP, and POP accounts, and it provides you with a snapshot of new messages. And finally, on top of all of that Digsby is also sporting a slick interface which is very customizable via themes. Sorry Mac users, Digsby is not mac compatible, so for now you’ll have to settle with Adium.
