My blog: http://www.alpha-400.com. These PC really are a whole new category. I think you will agree that Asus has gotten away from its original concept of a $200 laptop. The 400s are going to take over the low-price range for a while. The big deal here is that the bottom range rules. If the floor goes down, the price of all laptops and notebooks comes down. This is unstoppable, cheaper, simpler computers. Most people use even less of their computer's power than they do of their own brainpower. You know, Chick, I think so much of these — Alpha 400, HiVision, Razorbook, and the other cheapskate laptops — that I have started a blog on them, on the 400-MHz MIPS machines like the one you reviewed.
