"The other very unusual aspect of the slotRadio player is that it has no play button. Instead it’s only sporting two simplistic buttons - which are skip forward and backward on playlists."

The skip button on the side of the player also serves as the play/pause button. Just press and hold to pause, press again to resume playback. Press (without holding down) while in playback, and the player skips to the next song.

Nice design. The problem I have though is the 1000 songs. There is a TON of music out there and these pre loaded song's may not be very good or they could just not be in a person's musical taste.

I also find these pro loaded mixes tend to try to combat the music taste issue by offering a variety. This means that they may be spread out over the top say, 5-10 most popular genres. This means that if you only listen to say, rap or rock, you'll end up liking maybe 20-40% of the tracks. Still a decent amount I suppose.

There may be something like it available but I'm really surprised there aren't more MP3 players that are card based only. Sell it minus the memory for like 20-30 bucks. Add your own SD card or Micro SD card.
