If you’re running a small business, than there are two things you are probably looking for in an all-in-one printer 1. Affordability 2. Dependability. With a price tag of just $129.99, the new Epson WorkForce 310 Ink Jet All-in-One sports just about every feature a small business needs and depends ons. For starters, the WorkForce 310 Ink Jet All-in-One scans, copies, and faxes. It can print at speeds of up to 36ppm black and 20ppm color. For laser quality prints, it can work as fast as 16ppm black and 5.5ppm color. The WorkForce 310 features built-in ethernet so that you can network it with several computers, or you can connect it directly to a wireless router so that you can print wirelessly from it. Other notable business-oriented features include the ability to scan and save directly to PDF format on your computer and the ability to scan files over a network. Additionally, the WorkForce 310 has got a 30 page automatic document feeder which is a must in a business environment where you need to be able to copy, scan and fax lots of documents at once, and you just dont have time to manually feed in pages. Despite the low price tag, everyone knows that that it’s the ink cartridges that really sting a small businesses wallet. That is why, small business owners will be happy to hear that high capacity ink cartridges for the 310 deliver about 50% more prints, and that the printer runs on 5 individual ink cartridges so that you only have to replace whatever one is needed. Additionally, the 310 provides you with some eco-friendly features like the ability to print double sided, and it claims to use up to 70% less energy than a laser printer when printing daily print jobs. The Epson WorkForce 310 will go on sale in June.

How would you compare this to the Kodak All-in-One? I am a working mom who is in the market…need to manage things at home with efficiency and also want to have ease of use…for things like scanning/sharing photos, copying medical forms, and managing household finances. Thoughts?

Nice printer but the document feeder for fax copy and scan needs better grip. Just picked this up from Frys this eve, the printer looks all the rage but the three quarter sized hard plastic rollers and the somewhat soft plastic matching rollers will not FEED THE PAPER properly. My bank statements are smearing all over the place when I tried to scan them. I even slowed it down to 400 dpi to see if a slower feed rate would help but the statements will go part way and skid on the rollers. Tried other statements with the same result. It did do better with blank sheet but hey I need to scan my stuff not blank paper. Epson needs to get a better grip on the document feeder. I will not even pay 129 if it will not self feed, thats why I bought it!
