Sony – try as they might, just insist on competing with the Kindle…So they have gone ahead and released the Danielle Steel Limited Edition Reader Digital Book . Because you know women are suckers for Danielle’s mushy love stories and the color red! Similar in vein to the 007 limited Edition Digital Book from a couple of months ago – this one too includes a code to download a 3 book bundle, a personal letter from Danielle herself, and an embossed red case with her name on it. All of this for $279.99. Honestly if Sony want’s to compete with the Kindle – instead of coming out with limited editions, why not just change the name!

  • Do you know five titles of Danielle Steel books?

[...] Published by Maria Mihale, on May 12 2009, in the categories: Gadgets Think fast, guys! You have a minute to write down five titles of Danielle Steel books and be thankful I didn’t say ten, for example. I won’t be able to verify whether those titles are correct or not, but you have Wikipedia at your disposal, so that you know. On the other hand, I have never been a Danielle Steel fan, so I have no idea what books she wrote. But she must have written enough, if she more than 550 million copies of her books. Impressive, and there’s nothing more to add. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you about is that Sony came up with a product that is meant to compete with the so-very-famous-so-very-indestructible Kindle. It’s the Danielle Steel Limited Edition Reader Digital Book and consists of an eBook code for people to download a bundle of three famous Danielle Steel titles (Bungalow 2, Echoes and Sisters, to be more precise), a letter coming from the author and a custom embossed book cover. And if you didn’t know what present to give to your mom yesterday, it’s not too late to make up for it. You can download the stories in the following steps. First of all, you should download the eBook Library software and then install it. The software can be found at the Sony website, of course. Then launch it and click the “eBook Store” button, register for an account which is free, and then log in to the account. And the last step consists of clicking on “Redeem a code”, entering the code and clicking “Redeem”. You’ll have access to the eBook Store, where you can search for the three stories and download them. That’s that. And one more thing! You won’t be put to a test in order to obtain the three stories! Worry no more! No one will ask you to name five titles of Danielle Steel books, but you’ll be asked to pay $279.99. (Source: ChipChick) [...]
