Back to the Future Marty’s Hoverboard Replica

Ever since I watched Back to the Future on the big screen as a child, I’ve been impatiently counting down the days until I could jump on and ride a hover board, just like Marty McFly did when he time travelled in to the 21st century. Low and behold, the 21st century has arrived and the technology for such a device still isn’t here. Instead we got the much fun, but way too expensive Segway. But for those of you, like me, who still have a hankering for that pink hoverboard, the best we can do for now is to get a prop version of it. Ebay has a few sellers (here and here) selling prop replicas of the hoverboard in the price range of $200-$400. So what if it doesn’t fly or float, we’ll just have to use our imagination when we jump on it – and also make sure that no one is looking and that the door is closed.
