Taiwan Man Uses Dating Sites to Scam Millions from Women

Buying stock right now is risky as it is, but buying from someone you don’t even know overseas is really risky. A Taiwanese man was arrested for bilking more than 200 million Taiwan dollars (6.25 million US) from 50 women in one of the largest cyber scams in the country’s history. The suspect used online dating sites to meet women and encourage them to buy overseas stock through him. This cyber criminal managed to fool all types of women, including civil servants, teachers and nurses – even though none of them had ever met him in person.
