My mother just might be one of the biggest geeks I know. Cutest nonetheless but a geek all in all. She gets excited when my computer gets a virus and she has to reprogram the entire thing. I’ve watched her shuffle through her collections of CDs, and not music may I add, PROGRAMMING CDs. She absolutely loves anything to do with computers. She went to college for it, makes a career of it at work and at home and our #1 go to gal with any computer related problems in our household. It’s kind of nice I must say to have a computer technician right in your house. Nothing excites my mom more than browsing online or in stores for the hottest new piece of technology to add to her collection. Just last week she called me into her bedroom and showed me the new portable hard drive she bought as she raved about how it can hold all the memory and information on all 4 of our computers and the “gorgeous” indigo color as I shook my head and laughed at her childish behavior on such a small piece of technology. My mom became a geek when she became a grand mom 2 years ago…

My mom lives in India and the only way she could communicate with her grand-daughter is using google talk/ yahoo. She had never used a computer before but she is on it every day babysitting my daughter online….She sings songs to her and tells her stories. Its amazing how comfortable she has gotten using the webcam and she also uses yahoo emoticons

My mother is 81, yes 81 and her knowledge of the new applications and accessories puts me to shame. We bought her the first computer a mere 6 years ago, and she voraciously read everything she could get her hands on. She actually sat down and read Microsoft For Dummies cover to cover. I think she owns every “Dummy” book relating to computers and their applications ever written. The woman Twitters, Facebooks, and can navigate the web like a pro.

She actually owns an iPhone, and literally takes it to bed with her just in case she gets a text. So these accessories would be simply perfect for her. Thank you for the terrific giveaway!
