Army Begins Migration of Computer Systems to Vista and Office 2007 – Oh No!!!!

In an effort to enhance internet security and standardize all computer systems, the Army will be migrating their computers over to Windows Vista and Office 2007. In response to hearing that, I have two things to say to the Army – WAIT!!!!! and STOP!!!! Why waste our precious tax money on an OS that will not accomplish any of this and will probably cause more havoc than any good? The deadline for the conversion will be December 31st, 2009 – so not only is this the most ridiculous thing to do with software that is still plagued with issues, but it will also be practically outdated by the time they are done. Classes will be given to soldiers on how to operate Vista and Office 2007 since both interfaces are new to those who have been using Office 2003 and XP until now. So I guess the next time something goes wrong in the field, they will blame it on Vista now too.
